FIFA Ranking: Argentina-France and Spain entered the podium
Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina national team once again triumphed in the Copa America and maintained its leadership in this ranking, a position held since April 2023, following the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Additionally, La Scaloneta has achieved a milestone by holding onto the top spot in the FIFA ranking for 15 consecutive months, the longest streak in its history.
France, which secured two victories in the Euro but was eliminated in the semifinals by Spain, retains 2nd place in the table. The Spanish national team, recent European champions, has been the highlight of this ranking update, climbing from 8th to 3rd place. This rise marks Spain’s return to the FIFA ranking podium for the first time in eight years, a significant achievement for Luis de la Fuente’s team.
