Vinesh was two kilograms over the eligible weight limit later in the evening, despite having met the weight cut for her scheduled bouts on Tuesday. After that, the grappler underwent a strenuous routing to lose her excess weight. She even took a haircut, but it didn’t help.

When Indian national coaches Manjeet Rani and Virender Dahiya faced the tough wrestler, Vinesh remained brave in spite of the severe loss.

“It sent a shockwave through the wrestling contingent,” Dahiya said to PTI, revealing the specifics of their encounter. After the news leaked, the girls were feeling fairly depressed. We attempted to comfort Vinesh when we met her. She exhibited bravery. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t win the medal, but it’s just part of the game, she said to us.”

“Several IOA officials were also there to meet her.”

On Day 12 of the Paris Games, another wrestler from India had a really bad day. Zeynep Yetgil of Turkey decisively won the match and earned all of the points in the first period, hence she lost 0–10.

“She just could not play her game, did not look in her element,” the instructor stated.
