Lionel Messi Ibiza mansion vandalism condemned as president of Argentina brands climate protesters 'cowardly & delusional' while calling for Spanish government to make safety

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, has denounced the acts of the climate activists who broke into Lionel Messi’s opulent home.
Earlier this week, a group of climate demonstrators representing the group “Futuro Vegetal” vandalized Messi’s Ibiza property, demanding that people “help the planet,” “eat the rich,” and “abolish the police.”
The climate group insisted that “we need a radical change of system” and stated that they entered Messi’s home to draw attention to the environmental disaster the world is currently facing. But the president of Argentina has sharply disputed their assertions, stating that their primary motivation is communism, and he has urged the Spanish authorities to guarantee the security of the Argentine community living in Spain.

“Communists who want to ‘kill the rich and abolish the police to end climate change’ vandalized a house belonging to Lionel Messi and his family in Spain,” Milei said on X. I demand that Pedro Sanchez’s administration ensure the security of Argentine nationals residing in the Kingdom of Spain, and I stand in solidarity with the Messi family in opposition to this barbaric and naive incident. An ideology that thrives on jealousy, anger, and resentment of the successful is communism. In a free and civilized world, it has no place. Goddamn it, long live freedom.”

It’s unclear if Messi will file a lawsuit against the people who entered his property without permission. Meanwhile, Messi will miss Inter Miami’s League Cup match against FC Toronto on Friday due to his ongoing ankle injury recovery.
