The opening IND vs BAN T20I, originally scheduled to be held in Dharamsala, will now take place at a newly inaugurated stadium in Gwalior. New Team India Schedule!
The BCCI has updated India’s home cricket schedule. The opening T20I against Bangladesh, which was originally set to be played in Dharamsala, has now been moved to Gwalior due to renovations at the Dharamsala stadium. This match will mark Gwalior’s first international fixture since Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic 200. Additionally, the first two T20Is against England in 2025 have had their venues swapped: Chennai will now host what was originally planned for Kolkata, and vice versa.
Gautam Gambhir = Jason Gillespie?
Ricky Ponting has compared India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir to Pakistan’s Test coach Jason Gillespie. Ponting observed that both are “deep thinkers” who achieve success through their own methods. He praised Gillespie’s coaching record, noting it’s “very, very good” wherever he has been. Ishan Kishan to Lead Jharkhand
Ishan Kishan is making a comeback. The wicketkeeper-batter, who had fallen out of favor, will captain Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu tournament, marking his return to domestic cricket. Kishan was initially left out of the squad but expressed interest and was included. This move is a significant step in his comeback after missing out on the BCCI’s central contract and having previously requested rest from the national team due to mental fatigue.
