Manu Bhaker Picks Sportspersons She Would Like To Spend A Day With, Neeraj Chopra

Manu Bhaker, an Indian sports legend, won numerous medals for his nation during the just finished 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The Indian delegation returned from the Paris Games with a total of six medals, including two bronzes won by Bhaker. Manu has participated in numerous interviews and award ceremonies since returning home. Manu was asked which athletes she would most like to spend a day with during one such occasion. The expert marksman adopted several aliases. Usain Bolt, the speed champion, was one of the foreign athletes that made an impression. Manu chose the names of Indian cricket stars Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar.

“I might mention a couple of my favorites. One of them is Jamaican runner Usain Bolt, whose autobiography I’ve read numerous times, followed on his trip, and seen numerous interviews with. The cricket players Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Dhoni sir (MS Dhoni) then arrived in India. Manu Bhaker told Cosmopolitan, “It would be an honor to spend even an hour with any of them.”

Interestingly, Neeraj Chopra, with whom she shares a close friendship, was left out.

Manu tried her hand at a variety of sports during her school years, but she was most successful as a shooter. The athlete, who has excelled in her own right, hopes to see India take home many more international medals platforms, especially in the Olympics.

As a sportsman, I would like to make a significant contribution to Indian sports and see my country win as many medals as it can in any competition. I would want to provide aspiring athletes all of my support and to share with them everything I know and have experienced. That sounds wonderful, Manu continued.

When asked about the difficulties faced by women in athletics, Manu also discussed the changes she wished to see in society.

“I hope that a few things in society will change. It is my belief that in order to assist their daughters grow stronger and more self-assured, parents will need to take the initiative to support and shield them. First and first, a woman’s home, her parents, and the people in her immediate vicinity are the most important things. That’s where I believe it begins. Education is another crucial factor. We must get better in each of these areas,” she remarked.
