Royals Review! I messed up and didn’t get today’s updates ready on time. I’ll add links to this page as I gather them.

Brady Singer rebounded well after a tough second inning yesterday:

Singer pitched seven innings for the third game in a row, giving up three runs on Wednesday. All those runs came in the second inning, but he bounced back with a strong third inning after the Royals regained the lead and settled down from there. He retired 15 of the last 17 batters he faced and didn’t give up any more runs.

“Don’t let it happen again,” Singer said about his approach after the three-run second inning. “They gave me three runs in the first, and I gave up three in the second. They came through for me afterward.

“…I think I lost some of the sinker’s movement and wasn’t getting the usual break on it. So I just tried to battle through and make good pitches.”

Moyes maintains that Manchester United made the correct choice in retaining Erik ten Hag as manager, despite speculation earlier in the summer about the former Ajax coach potentially losing his position. However, he believes the club’s most significant challenge comes from their fierce rivals, Manchester City, rather than from anyone on their own team.
United ended up finishing eighth in the Premier League, but they did secure the FA Cup. Moyes is skeptical about their chances of catching the champions, who are looking to claim their fifth consecutive title in the 2024-25 season.

Gukesh became the youngest world champion in history after defeating Ding Liren in a 14-game World Chess Championship match in Singapore. For the first time in nearly three weeks, D Gukesh acted like the 18-year-old he is. Overcome by the gravity of the situation, the teenager from Chennai began to sob at the chessboard.
