From the next mega auction, Chennai Super Kings hopes to add one or two senior all-rounders.
Every three years, the IPL 2025 Mega Auction will feature the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Teams can restructure their roster by altering the makeup of their core during this competition. Important players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Moeen Ali were kept by CSK in the previous IPL auctions.
The five-time IPL champions may be deciding which all-rounders to target in the impending event ahead of the IPL super auction. Let’s examine the three all-round players that are up for grabs in the IPL mega auction.
CSK may go for every rounder in the IPL super auction.
Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League in 2023 after they paid a high price of 16.25 crore to acquire him. He was, however, released by CSK prior to IPL 2024 since he was unavailable. Ben Stokes has participated in 43 IPL games and amassed 920 runs at a strike rate of 134.5 and an average of 25.56. In IPL history, he has two hundreds and two fifty. CSK will undoubtedly try to buy him in the auction if at all possible.
Ashwin Ravichandran
Ravichandran Ashwin, like Ben Stokes, was an IPL player for CSK. Ashwin actually played for the Yellow Army on his IPL debut. In addition to his recent great improvement in batting, Ashwin can be very dangerous when playing on Chepauk’s slow surface.
Cameron-Green
Cameron Green can also be a useful option for CSK because of his ability to hit hard against spin bowling. In addition, Green possesses a useful slower delivery, and in the middle overs, CSK may benefit from his medium-fast bowling.
